I'm not a fan of people texting and driving but I had some stupid woman stop in the middle of the state highway to text a message or to change here status on Facebook. Stupid woman was probably posting about how she was a victim of road rage after we parted company.

I made a couple trips down south dropping off some equipment and I was sure I passed by some CT members. Beautiful cattle country. Can anyone guess where I was?

No Brute not that far south. The nearest town I saw was called Penhook. Is that a coil tubing rig?

They're getting real popular up here. There was a blowout in February that blew out over 2 miles of tubing into the clouds, a buddy of mine had a cell phone video of it, it was absolutely insane.

They definitely have their purpose. We fish with them and use them for drill-outs after the frac. In that pick we were fishing a wire line plug.

What's your plan of attack on a hill like that?

I don't tow heavy real often but I sure do like the aggressive, exhaust brake on these newer trucks for stuff like that.

When i was driving TT or Dump trucks down it I dropped to the lowest gear possible and used the jake when hauling cattle make sure the trailer brakes are working well cut the box up and drop a gear in the truck. There is no run offs on that mountain incase you get out of control so you better have your crap together or you will have a fast trip 3 miles down. That mountain will bring the pucker effect quickly when you start going down with a load.

I've seen the aftermath of about a mile of 4 1/2" DP blown out near Bay City TX. Looked like a giant pile of spaghetti over about 5 acres.. I bet it made a heck of a clanging racket....feet, don't fail me now!

And I thought a 5% grade down Jellico Mountain for 4 or 5 miles with a JD 450 crawler behind my pickup was bad.
