I'd estimate his realistic potential at 348 lbs in 120 days (2.90 lbs per day) as ol' 243 said, several variables are in play

A good quality steer can gain 2#-5 #/day depending on the amount fed. Generally in the 2.5 to 3.5# range.

didnt know that. how much feed per day? something with a high protein %?

11% protein grain mix (ground shell corn and soybean meal)
5 lbs of grain per day for first 10 days increase to 8 lbs for 1 week then increasing to whatever he cleans up
with goal of 1 lb - 1.5 lbs of grain mix per 100 lbs body weight (8-16 lbs per day)
