Hi everyone...

Postby younggun » Wed Mar 29, 2017 12:44 am

I just spent the last 2 nights reading through the 60 page thread about longhorn crosses so I thought I'd join and post any results I'll be getting with time.

Anyway, my name is Caleb, I'm 23 (therefore my user name) I live in south central Ky. My wife and I own/operate an organic, pastured poultry operation consisting of 2 50x520' barns, each sitting on 50-52 acres of pasture.

We have 150 acres total so I have some extra pasture to run some cattle in. I'll also be able to use some of the 100 acres of chicken pasture to run cattle in as soon as I get some cross fencing up.

At the time being I only have 8 head of cattle, 6 jersey bull calves that I'm raising to sell for freezer beef, 1 charolais/Hereford cross that's bred to an angus bull and she should be having her first calf within the next month or so, and 1 longhorn heifer that's also bred to the same angus bull and should also be calving within the next month or 2. Both of my heifers will be bred back to a charolais bull.

Anyway, that's about it for me. Here are pics of my two heifers.

Oh yea, I'm also into classic American Muscle! 8) Like and respect them all but I'm a diehard Mopar nut! :D

If you cross the river before, leave a good horse on this side.
