Replacement Heifers

Postby FlyingLSimmentals » Wed Aug 23, 2017 6:46 am

In the Weaning Pen. Sorry didn't get a decent pic of blaze heifer, the battery in camera exhausted. The black heifer's momma was a heifer just a couple years ago that I posted here. One of my orange soda pop's "Ms. Crush". I got this one's name picked out, she's just got to keep growing and the plan is for her to be the new member of my Register Herd. Also attached an old pic of when the orange soda pop heifers were locked up in their young days.

With what you pictured, I like the solid black that is at the feeder with the blaze faced. Hard to really analyze with her head down, but I like the fullness in the rib & top loin.

Have added 3 more with these two. Two more blacks and a black baldy all purebred simmental. Haven't got around to take pics of them. Got an for the black heifer and the three I added. All 4 purebred Simmental. The Blaze face is dad's and he knows he's keeping it.

Took the Black Heifer and the other three I added to London, Ky. to a buyer yesterday. Going to miss this black heifer and the baldy I added, kind of had plans for them here as replacements. But wanted to keep a repeated customer happy where hopefully he will stay just that so I sold them. He had a sharp baldy young red Simmental bull he was gonna breed to them at a later date. They should make some pretty calves with that bull. I'll check back with him and maybe get some calf pics.
