New from South Texas

Postby Diamondback » Fri Sep 08, 2017 4:51 am

Hello, I am a medically retired Army combat veteran. I've had a rough time finding a new spot in life and have decided to get back to what made me happy in my youth. Spent most of my younger years, working for horse ranches, feeding, grooming, cleaning and riding. Helped a few times during calving, small amount of doctoring. Whole bunch of working hay fields and even a bit of picking tomatoes. This is all 20-25years ago, so I've been a bit removed.

I am here to soak up information, I'll probably ask a few dumb questions from time to time, but will do so humbly and with learning at the heart of it.

My future goal is to get back to working on a ranch. Not really looking for a job, but more a lifestyle change. And every time I self evaluate, I think of how happy I was on horse back and working on the few ranches I did.

Anyway, hope this will suffice as an introduction. Feel free to ask any questions you would like, I'll do my best to promptly reply.
Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the forum, and thank you for your service. As far as asking dumb questions, I'm not too proud to do that either. I'd much rather ask a dumb question than make a dumb mistake because I didn't ask.
