Disabled veteran starting over back on a farm

What is the best breed of cows as a starter herd in gerogia. I want to try to raise gelbvieh female and a i with angus to produce balancer. Is this the way to start my herd.

Welcome, little creek! I don't know much about gelbviehs, but there is a gentleman on here by the name of Beefy who raises Brangus in GA and does real good with them. He's posted a variety of pictures of his girls and their calves. May want to do a search and check them out. I'm not sure Angus are going to do very well with your heat and humidity, but don't know for sure. I wish you the best!

Thank you for your reply. I can't find information close to home about the gelbvieh. It seems eveyone around this area is going to a black baldy.
