My pard...

Postby Dogs and Cows » Wed Jun 28, 2017 11:53 am

Two years ago a small malnourished beagle gyp showed up at the house. She started following me everywhere, and acting like she belonged. So, I convinced the wife that it was my duty to take in another stray. Fast forward 2 years...she is my best friend. Goes everywhere with me, always ready for a good time, or work. I'm pretty sure she pays me back for the feed and shelter with the "therapy" I get every evening as we sit together and I love on her. I have had a ton of dogs though my life...nothing ever like this...I am truly blessed that this little 15 lb dog came into my and my families lives. Her name is Pumpkin.

Here she is after a long hot day following me around, and chasing the ducks around the pond. Not sure if she plans on turning the TV on or not LOL.

That's great. She looks like a sweetheart. Sounds like it's been a blessing for both of you. She has more than earned her keep. The best dog we ever had was a stray that showed up like that.

Aren't they great? My bulldog is getting old and is very limited in what she can do, but she's still my buddy.
