New cattle rancher

Hello and greetings to all.
As a newbie,Ineed eeally solid informationon red poll cattle, whereto get good breeding stock and( of course) what to expect with regards to financial investment.
Gimme some help here-I currently raise heritage pork and duck,looking toexpand my farm.

Contact the Red Poll Assoc., for names of members/breeders. You might want to put your general area or state in your profile so people know what part of the country you are in. We have some red poll cattle, from a herd that never kept up the registrations and since red is not a favored color here, we have bred some to black angus over the years. Still have about a half dozen and still have a reg red poll bull that we use some.
You will be looking at anywhere from 1000 to 5000 for cattle in general. Don't know what they are bringing for reg stock but we bought a few over the years for the 1500 range.
