BA, We don't have any experience with him so I'm not one that can say. I have seen him in the flesh and he's impressive. Melvin Leland has used him quite a bit the last couple of years. I would call and ask him his opinion.

Vista Red Angus (Jeff Diles) is close to San Antonio and might have some for private treaty sale.

We have used him successfully on heifers....no assists. His current performance pedigree lists him with a 99 BW ratio on over 1500 head.

Gardiner results should be up on their website soon if they're not already. They avg. $4900 or so on bulls with a high of $90,000 and $26,000 on their donors. Can't remember the the other averages off the top of my head. The female sale was really good....the bulls tended to be a little softer...

Dun, In our Red Angus herd, the F442 daughters have averaged right around 98 WW Ratio on their calves thus far. I'd have to do a little research amongst the SMxAN data to find out that answer there. This would be compared to some major AI sires including Cherokee, Major League, Vacation...

Dun, We have quite a few F442's in our herd. Initially, we used him on our SMxAN heifers and then liked what we saw so much that we then plugged him into our Red Angus herd. His daughters have fit quite well into our harsh environment....they have been easy fleshing and he is certainly an udder...

When looking at SimAngus bulls, you should see EPDs on that specific animal if the breeder runs their data through the Simmental Association. ASA provides EPDs through their multi-breed evaluation that takes into account both sides of the pedigree. You can look up the SimAngus EPD percentile...
