WOW!!! We had a great sale on Wednesday, October 17th at the 19th Edisto Forage Bull Test. The 41 bulls sold for $103,200 - an average of $2,517.07 per bull. This is the 4th highest sale average in Edisto Bull Test history. Thirty-seven bulls (90%) were purchased by South Carolina cattlemen. Six cattlemen purchased two bulls each. On Monday before the sale, the 41 bulls averaged 603 day sold, 53.8" tall, 5.5 frame score, 1,559 lbs, 2.59 lbs/day WDA and 37.2 cm scrotal circumference. In 19 Edisto sales, 843 bulls have been sold for $1,819,825 -- an average of $2,158.75 per bull.
The high-selling bull was Sweetwater Plantation's 47 Angus bull at $3,800 to Sunny Acres Farm at Trenton, S.C. Shady Hill Farm at Ridge Spring, S.C. made Hay Diddle Diddle Farm's 51 Gelbvieh bull the second high seller at $3,700.
Volume Buyer: 6 Cattlemen bought 2 bulls.
