March 29, 2003
Dunnellon, Fla.

Over 400 Brangus breeders from nine states and South America arrived in Dunnellon, Fla., on March 29 to participate in the complete disperson of the historical Heldon Ranch Brangus herd. Owners Don and Rae Marie Smith presented approximately 1,000 top quality Brangus cattle with genetics from breed-leading greats such as Bright Side, Cadence, SVF High Prime, CEO, Big Easy, Exacto, KO Special Addition and Transformer. Buyers were not disappointed as they took back to their herds some of the very best Brangus cattle offered at public auction. The Brangus breed will certainly miss Don and Rae Marie, but they certainly will not be forgotten.
