The stands were filled for Rockbrook Ranch's Angus Plus Bull Sale on Saturday, November 8th. Thirty-nine buyers from Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas added Angus Plus bulls to their programs. In addition, buyers selected seedstock from the Angus Plus Female offering on Friday, November 7th.
The bull sale saw 69, 18-month and older bulls average $2,802 with a top of $5,000 and 69 yearlings sold for an average price of $2,436 with the top selling bull at $4,500. Williams Ranch, Fort Stockton, Texas was the volume buyer.
In the female offering, Morrow and Sons Cattle Company, Guntersville, Ala., was the volume buyer. In that portion of the sale 26 pairs averaged $2,430 with a high selling female at $3,100, while 21 bred females averaged $1,690 with a top of $2,000.
Rockbrook Ranch is one of the foundation Angus Plus breeding programs and is located near Palestine, Texas at Montalba.
Doak Lambert served as auctioneer for the sales, while Gary Bruns served as consultant.
