Lot 16 -- $3,500 -- Mr 7P N203. Polled, black, purebred Simmental bull, sired by GW Lucky Break 047G, Buyer: D&S Farm, Church Point, La.
Lot 38 -- $3,500 -- Mr 7P N309. Polled, black, purebred Simmental bull, sired by Daytona, Buyer: Hickory Ridge Simmental, Fairfield, Texas.
Lot #129 -- $1,850 -- Group of 5 Heavy Bred F1 Simbrah Heifers. Buyer: Mark McDaniel, Diana, Texas.
A standing room only crowd was on hand for the 11th Annual Spring Sale at 7P Ranch. Owners, Joe and Mary Prud'homme, welcomed the crowd and presented a total of 69 purebred Simmental and Simmental influenced bulls for sale. This offering was well received and bidding remained strong from end to end.
Commercial heifers sold mostly in groups of four or five. A total of 147 commercial heifers sold for an average of $1,449. The heifers were mostly Brahman x Hereford F1 or Brahman x Simmental F1. There were a few lots of Angus x Simmental F1's. All the heifers were bred to an Angus bull and were identified as to their breeding status.
