Lot 24 -- $14,000 – Ellis Miss Rita 2032. A 8-31-02 daughter of Bon View New Design 1407 out of the donor female Rita 5017 of 5H11 Ambush, bred to SAV 8180 Traveler 004. $10,000 sold to Jason Fain, Hartwell, Ga. Her 9-21-04 heifer calf by BR Midland sold for $4,000 to Ogeechee Farm, Wadley, Ga. Consigned by Homestead Farm, Opelika, Ala.

2nd High Pair:

Lot 46 -- $10,000 – Garrison Flora 892. A 9-18-02 daughter of Summitcrest High Prime OH 29, bred to BR Midland, sold for $4,000 to BoBo Angus Farm, Ardmore, Ala. Her 9-1-04 heifer calf by GAR Precision 1680 sold for $6,000 to BoBo Angus Farm. Consigned by Watson Angus Farm, Lincoln, Ala.

3rd High Pair:

Lot 23 -- $9,800 – Homestead Erica 2021. A 9-3-02 daughter of Bon View Bando 598, bred to BCC Bushwacker 41-93, sold for $6,800 to Tillman Dudley Cattle Farm, Opelika, Ala. Her 9-28-04 heifer calf by Bon View New Design 1407 sold for $3,000 to Charles Lawler, Opelika, Ala. Consigned by Homestead Farm, Opelika, Ala.

Top Bred Heifer:

Lot 27 -- $7,750 – Homestead Patsy 305. A 9-13-03 daughter of CA Future Direction 5321, bred to Bon View New Design 208. Sold to BoBo Angus Farm, Ardmore, Ala. Consigned by Homestead Farm, Opelika, Ala.

2nd High Bred Heifer:

Lot 29 -- $5,100 – Homestead Blackcap 329. A 12-8-03 daughter of Bon View New Design 878, bred to SAV 8180 Traveler 004. Sold to Oak Hill Farms, LLC, Montgomery, Ala. Consigned by Homestead Farm, Opelika, Ala.

This was one the most well attended and successful sales to date for this sale. The consignment requirements are very rigorous for this sale. The cattle consigned must be by an A.I. sire out of an A.I. sired dam and all calves must be A.I. sired, as well as cows bred back A.I. These requirements impressed many individuals and they were ready to purchase the cattle. Many trailers left the facility empty because of the strong demand. Cattle sold into six states.
