April 2, 2005
Franklin, Texas

On April 2, Camp Cooley Ranch customer and cooperator consignments led off an incredible sale. On the registered side, Ms Brinks Lead Time 488N was the top selling lot at $20,000 when she sold to long time customer, Salacoa Valley Farm. Consigned by G5 Brangus the two year old female had a January Lead Gun calf at side.

The second high selling lot was a choice of the Camp Cooley Ranch fall embryo transfer heifer calves. With past experience on such a Camp Cooley choice lot, Salacoa Valley paid $11,500.

Lot 30, consigned by Four C Brangus, was the third high seller at $11,000. One of the first Lead Gun daughters in production, she had a MC New Direction 000M24 bull calf at side and sold to Chimney Rock Cattle Co.

In the commercial sale, pairs consigned by Trefny Cattle Co. led pair offering at $1950/hd for a pen of nine. The Black Gold females had Camp Cooley sired calves at side and were purchased by Jimmy Green.

Pen 401, a set of heifers A.I'ed to Blackhawk of Brinks and Stealth of Brinks, topped the bred heifers at $1,700/hd. The Angus sired heifers were consigned by repeat consignor Beene and Eubanks Cattle Co. and were purchased by Grant and Myron Mayes.

The high selling natural bred heifers were from Rafter V Ranch. The fifteen Black Gold Premium heifers sold for $1,525 to Kilpatrick Ranch.

A set of eight Black Gold heifers topped the open offering at $1,425. These were consigned by 4 L Ranch and purchased by Chimney Rock Cattle Co.

Six Black Gold Premium heifers selling as exposed brought $1,250/hd. These heifers were consigned by Kriel's Double J Brangus and sold to Edwin Thomason.

Camp Cooley Ranch's Customer Appreciation Sale was designed with customer marketing opportunities in mind. The goal of the sale has been to provide marketing avenues for proven genetics that are backed by Camp Cooley Ranch's unsurpassed customer service programs.

Perhaps most impressive has been that customer consigned lots have topped the sale in 2005 and 2004. Equally as impressive was that consignors had this year's high averages for registered open heifers, bred heifers, fall pairs, 3n1 packages, spring bred cows and overall averages. Consistently, successful consignors have marketed cattle that trace to Camp Cooley's top proven genetics. The ultimate in success for Camp Cooley Ranch owner and staff is to have customers obtaining the value deserved for their dedication to the Camp Cooley Ranch program and genetics.
