October 16, 2004

Seedstock Plus had another successful sale at Joplin Regional Stock Yards near Carthage, Mo. Thirty one members pooled together an outstanding set of range ready bulls for the offering. These exceptional bulls found new homes in: Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Tennessee. Many of the buyers were first time Gelbvieh and Balancer® bull buyers.

Topping the sale at $3,900 was Lot 59, JKAN Mr. T 71ND, offered by Doty's Balancer Genetics. This outstanding Balancer® bull is homozygous black and homozygous polled. This bull was sired by FHG VVFG Flying H Exclusive. Daniel Johnson of Seldom Rest Ranch in Talala, Okla., took home the herd sire prospect.

The second high seller at $3,800 was Lot 84, RLS Grannys Will II 320N, offered by Flint Hills Gelbvieh/Red Angus. Bill Jenkins of Bolivar, Mo., had the final bid on this homozygous black, double polled, purebred Gelbvieh son of JBob 3321K ET.

The third high selling bull at $3,600 was Lot 153, this Red Angus bull sired by BUF CRK Romeo was offered by Hidden Creek Farm. When the dust settled Scott Veasman of Brinktown, Mo. was the proud recipient of this Red Angus Bull.

The top Angus Bull was Lot 4 selling at $3,300. This son of B/R New Design 323 also offered by Hidden Creek Farms was taken home by Wilkinson Gelbvieh of Model, Colo.

This sale posted the highest sale average to date for Seedstock Plus. However, there were still great buys on bulls in the $1,500 range. All bulls had complete data, tested negative for PI BVD, and were all backed by Seedstock Plus customer service. Again a successful event for the Seedstock Plus program!
