A good crowd of commercial and seedstock producers filled the seats at the annual Tennessee Agribition Gelbvieh Sale in Murfreesboro. Hosted at Middle Tennessee State University, this annual event attracted consignments from six states.
Topping the offering was Lot 16, GBNR Loretta 912P ET, a Feb. 3, 2004 open heifer out of JCGR Bar GT Mach One and an RKG Powerstroke cow. Gelbvieh Bar None of Marion, N.C., consigned this lot. Rumfelt Gelbvieh of Springfield, Mo., bid $3,500 on the phone to own this deep-sided broody heifer.
Two females tied at $3,300 for the next high selling honors.
