Hill-Vue Farm of Blairsville, Ga. had its Open House Sale on a beautiful fall day at the farm the last Monday of October. Bidders were from Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Bud and Lorraine Hill with freinds and neighbors hosted the event featuring linebred Graham Angus and linebred Trask Polled Herefords bred to Graham Angus.
Top Angus bull was Fintry of Graham HV444 born 2/23/04 by Fintry of Graham 47519 that went to Denny Lee of Tellico Plains, Tenn., at $2,600.
Top bred Angus heifer was Graham Eurotia HV474 born 3/4/04 by Big Elban of Graham 45679 bred to Fintry of Graham 43141 that went to Jack Snyder of Ocoee, Tenn., for $1,850.
The top open Angus heifer, Graham Pride HV426 by Fintry of Graham 43640, went to Terry Legg of Blairsville, Ga., for $1,300. Mac McGee of Anderson, S.C. bought three Trask Hereford heifers bred to Rednock of Graham HV273 at $1,567 each.
Fowken of Union, S.C. bought two Trask Herefords bred to Rednock of Graham HV273 at $1,600 each. Charles Taylor of Maryville, Tenn. bought the top Hereford bull Plato Mossy Domino HV461 born 2/28/04 by Plato Mossy Domino HV176 for $1,950.
