2nd High Female Pair:

Lot 22 -- $6,200 – Ray Blackcap 253. A 08-29-02 daughter of Brooks EXT 792, bred to Bon View Bando New Design 878. Sold for $3,400 to Ray Cattle Co., Hayneville, Ala. Her 10-18-05 heifer calf by Hyline Right Time 338, sold for $2,800 to Bonner Farms, Huntsville, Ala.

Lot 1 -- $5,900 – Macedon Pride Lady 285. A 01-09-02 daughter of SAF Focus of ER bred to SAV 8180 Traveler 004. Sold to $2,800 to Triple W Angus, Rock Island, Tenn. Her 08-11-05 heifer calf by Hyline Right Time 338 sold for $3,100 to CRW, Finksburg, Maryland.

Lot 28 -- $5,900 – Macedon Erica 464. A 09-15-99 daughter of Sitz Traveler 8180 bred to Boyd New Day 8005, sold for $2,700 to Bo Bo Angus, Ardmore, Ala. Her 10-16-05 heifer by Hyline Right Time 338 sold for $3,200 to Wellington Farms, Killen, Ala.

A tremendous crowd was on hand for the 81st Anniversary sale at Macedon Farms. Cattle sold into six states and the bidding was active. All the proceeds from the Lot 28A heifer calf were donated to the American Angus Association Foundation to start a new scholarship in the name of Ed Horton, Macedon Farms. Long time friend and fellow breeder, Frank Dykes, gave $4,000 for this great heifer calf by the Macedon Farms bred Senior Herd Sire, Macedon True Commitment.
