Biscoe, N.C.
A sunny day greeted the large crowd of cattle producers as they evaluated the Gelbvieh, Balancer and Angus genetics presented by the crew at the J-Bob Farms, Biscoe, N.C.
The well-grown, not too fat, group of bulls and females sold into 11 states to new and repeat customers. This was the first sale for Flying H Genetics in North Carolina as they continue the J-Bob genetics and tradition.
Top selling bull at $10,700 was a homozygous polled, homozygous black Balancer sired by Leachman Right Time out of the JBOB donor, 2308J. His new home is with Longleaf Station, Dave and Mick Ainsworth.
Top selling purebred was a Flying H Black Jack 12L son with heifer bull genetics who went home with James Green of Jackson, S.C.
The female sale was topped at $4,700 by a red purebred daughter of National Champion Flying H MSH Full Season 8M and will be shown by Kassidy Formanek, a junior member from Clutier, Iowa.
The “Choice Lot” was purchased by Ben Andrews and will be selected in 2007. His $4,000 investment will give him a chance to add a future donor to his elite herd.
Jason Luttrell from Missouri was volume buyer with 19 head. The red Smartcross first calf heifer fall pairs brought $1,500 and went to Old Savannah Gelbvieh of Watha.
Flying H Genetics thanks all of their neighbors, friends, bidders and buyers who gave them such a warm welcome to North Carolina.
