Hill-Vue Farm of Blairsville, Ga. had its Open House Sale on a beautiful fall day at the farm the last Monday of October 2006. Bidders were from Texas, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. Bud and Lorraine Hill with family, friends and neighbors hosted the event featuring linebred Graham Angus and linebred Trask Polled Herefords. Top Angus bull was Fintry of Graham HV538 born 3/6/05 by Fintry of Graham 47519 that went to Riverbend Farm, Blairsville, Ga., for $2,650. Top bred Angus heifer was Graham Pride HV551 born 3/20/05 by Rednock of Graham HV273 bred to Braco of Graham 53803 that went to Wright Cattle Company, Calhoun Falls, S.C., for $2,100. The top open Angus heifer, Graham Blackcap HV595 by Fintry of Graham 47519 went to Graham Angus, Albany, Ga., for $1,800. Happy Cattle Company, Murchison, Texas bought two Trask Polled Hereford heifers bred to Rednock of Graham HV273 at $1,750 each and four Trask Polled Hereford heifers bred to Trask Plato Polled Hereford bulls at $1,462 each. Mac McGee of Anderson, S.C. bought two Trask Plato Polled Hereford heifers bred to Plato bulls at $1,500 each, and he bought the top Polled Hereford bull, Plato Mossy Dom HV544 by Platorupert Mossy Domino for $1,350.
