Mt. Sterling, Ky.
The sixth edition of the Bluegrass Invitational proved a popular source of quality Gelbvieh genetics. This bi-annual event drew a large gathering at Mt. Sterling with many first-time buyers.
Topping the sale at $3,800 was Lot 37, Jenna N29. This powerful female was consigned by Pleasant Meadows Farm. Single Tree Farm of Edmonton, Ky. was the successful bidder.
Close behind was Lot 40/40A at $3,600. S & S Gelbvieh consigned this bred Stonewall daughter with a Visa bull calf at side. Padon Farms of Salem, Ky. was the final bidder.
Lot 38/38A was another bred Stonewall daughter with a Junior bull calf at side. Larry Clark of Greensburg, Ky. snatched this pair up for $3,100.
Lot 39 and Lot 43 each brought $3,000. Lot 39, Lady Liberty, was consigned by Blackhawk Gelbvieh and found a new home with Lazy S Gelbvieh of Ball Ground, Ga.
Circle K Farms consigned Lot 43. This was a Heavy Equipment guaranteed heifer pregnancy out of the HAD Sugar 446J donor. Eagle Pass Ranch was the successful bidder for the pregnancy.
