Despite the soggy weather, a nice crowd attended the 7th annual Seedstock Plus spring bull sale at AB Farms in Lathrop, Mo.

Topping the sale for the day was Lot 644, a homozygous black, purebred Gelbvieh bull consigned by Nelson Ranch of Soldier, Kansas. JJNR Mr Cocoa 18KS was sired by TLR Cocoa 35C, he found a home with Koellner Bros of Milton, Iowa, for $3,700.

The next high selling bull of the day was also a homozygous black, purebred Gelbvieh bull, HUTR Justamere Ruby 6085, consigned by Justamere Ranch of Urbana, Mo. A JBOB Carolina Fortune 2564J ET son that sold to McKinley Farms of McLoud, Okla., for $3,300.

The four top Balancers of the day all sold for $3,300. They were lot 465, TMGC Stubro Road Map 45268, a homozygous black, homozygous polled Atlas son consigned by Stuecken Bros Gelbvieh of Freeburg, Mo. He sold to Garrett Thouvenel of Stover, Mo. Next up was lot 478, WALL 378 ET, consigned by Waller Gelbvieh of Baileyville, Kansas. He was also a homozygous black and homozygous polled Balancer. A Bon View New Design 878 son that sold to Drew Shannon of Anabel, Mo. Lot 494, BBGV 4915 Freedoms Mr 5268, consigned by Flint Hills Gelbvieh/Red Angus of Alma, Kansas was a black, double polled balancer sired by GAR Expectation 4915 and out of a Freedom daughter sold to Jim Gehrt of Alma, Kansas. Rounding out the top four Balancers was Lot 552, TMMW BI Cimarron Dean, a black, double polled LS/Plus Cimarron P207 son out of a MLLC M/L Encore daughter, consigned by Mulroy Farms of Mayetta, Kansas. He found a home in McLoud, Okla. with McKinley Farms.

High selling Angus for the day was a Mytty In Focus son consigned by Nelson Ranch of Soldier, Kansas. Lot 430, JJNR Mr in Focus 34HS, sold to Steve Downs of Lebanon, Ky., for $2,850.
