IOWA BULL SALE
March 21, 2008
Keosauqua, Iowa

Topping the Seedstock Plus sale offering at Keosauqua, Iowa on Friday evening March 21 was lot 595, a Red, Double Polled, Purebred Gelbvieh, JEB BCC Reckless 64S, a KCF Bennett P161 son consigned by Burbank Cattle Co. of St Catharine, Mo. He sold to John Knoles – Knoles Stock Farm of Mason City, Ill. for $3,100.

The other high selling Gelbvieh lot was also a Red, KCF Bennett P161 son consigned by Burbank Cattle Co. of St. Catharine, Mo. Lot 593 sold to Tom LeCuyer of Morrowville, Kansas for $2,500.

Leading the Balancers, Lot 579, JEB BCC Balance 12S, a Red, Double Polled, 50 percent Red Angus, 50 percent Gelbvieh sired by RAB Bieber Make Mimi. He was consigned by Burbank Cattle Co. and sold to Tom Lecuyer of Morrowville, Kansas for $2,800.

Lot 580 was the next high selling Balancer at $2,600. He was also a Red, Double Polled, 50 percent Red Angus, 50 percent Gelbvieh, RAB Bieber Make Mimi son, consigned by Burbank Cattle Co. and selling to Gary Franklin of Keosauqua, Iowa.

Leading the Angus line up for the day was Directive OA66 as lot 552. He was a Sydgen Directive 3468 son consigned by Olson Acres LTD of Grand Mound, Iowa. He sold to Arnold Farms of Russell, Iowa for $1,900.

The second high selling Angus bull was consigned by Prairie Creek Angus of Pleasant Plains, Ill. Lot 554, Prairie Creek Regulator 7011, a 4G Regulator son, sold to Tom Carr of Keosauqua, Iowa for $1,850.

NORTH MISSOURI BULL SALE

Lathrop, Mo.

AB Farms was the host for the 8th annual Seedstock Plus North Missouri spring bull sale on February 23, 2008. There was a nice crowd on hand to enjoy the day and the AB Farm hospitality.

Topping the offering for the day was Lot 429, LSR Goldrush Echo 44T, a homozygous black, double polled, PB Gelbvieh, GDW Black Echo Mike son consigned by Flint Hills Gelbvieh of Alma, Kansas. He sold to Bierly's Flatrock Gelbvieh of Overbrook, Kansas for $3,800.

The second high selling bull of the day was lot 347, a homozygous black, homozygous polled, 75 percent Angus, 25 percent Gelbvieh Balancer, TMMW Black Kruger Boyd Don 7734T, sired by TAU Mr Krugerrand 70M 130P and consigned by Mulroy Farms of Mayetta, Kansas. He sold to Tom Forster of Mill Creek, Okla. for $3,500.

Other top selling Purebred Gelbvieh bulls for the day were; Lot 412, GDW Blk Extra Sarge 6155S, a homozygous black, double polled bull sired by JBOB 4216MET ET. He was consigned by White Bros. of Topeka, Kansas and sold to Niles Bray of Bedford, Ky., for $3,600. Lot 418 was also homozygous black and double polled, sired by JBOB Carolina Fortune 2564J ET, JJNR Mr Fortune Cocoa 17JPT was consigned by Nelson Ranch of Soldier, Kansas and went home to Drew Shannon of Annabel, Mo. for $3,500.

Two other Balancer bulls tied for top second place honors of the day at $3,400 each. Lot 288 was consigned by Switzer Gelbvieh of Bucklin, Mo. SWTZ Mr Balancer 809PS, was also homozygous black and double polled, a 50 percent Angus, 50 percent Gelbvieh sired by Genetics by Design 049. He sold to Fred Isenhour of Liberty, Missouri. Lot 315, LSR Fifth Gen SLF II 410S, was also homozygous black and double polled, 75 percent Gelbvieh and 25 percent Angus, sired by KCF Bennett K503 ET. He was consigned by Flint Hills Gelbvieh of Alma, Kansas and sold to Nick Korn of Brownsville, Tenn.

The high selling Angus bull of the day honors went to lot 274, JJNR Mr In Focus 43JT, consigned by Nelson Ranch of Soldier, Kansas. He is a Mytty In Focus son and sold to Tom Forster of Mill Creek, Okla. for $2,650. Lot 253 came in a close second at $2,600, ZJC Alliance 631S consigned by J & R Cattle Co. of St. Catharine, Missouri is a WAR Alliance 9126 6006 son that also sold to Tom Forster of Mill Creek, Okla.

SEEDSTOCK PLUS SOUTH MISSOURI BULL & FEMALE SALE
March 29, 2008
Carthage, Mo.

Topping the sale for the day was Lot 620, a 75 percent Gelbvieh, 25 percent Angus Balancer, TOP Lanmark BL P465 S409, consigned by Thousand Oaks Ranch of Paris, Texas. He was an 18 month old homozygous black, double polled, KCF Bennett Landmark J377 son. He sold to Stuecken Bros. Gelbvieh of Freeburg, Mo., for $4,500.

Thousand Oaks Ranch also had the second high selling lot of the day. Lot 630, a 50 percent Gelbvieh, 50 percent Angus Balancer, TOP Kingpin BL M213 S444, a homozygous black, double polled, KCF Bennett Kingpin K403 son. He sold to Terry Baker of Newburg, Mo. for $4,050.

Topping the Gelbvieh division for the day was lot 780, HFGC HF Black Bart 401T26, a black, homozygous polled Purebred Gelbvieh sired by RTRM Headline. He was consigned by Hart Farm of Kansas City, Kansas. He had been shown at the American Royal and National Western Stock Show, and he was the reserve calf champion at the American Royal. He sold to Davidson Bros. Gelbvieh of McCune, Kansas for $3,500.

Lot 763 and 737 tied for second high selling honors in the Gelbvieh lineup. Both sold for $3,300 each. Lot 763 was a homozygous black, double polled JBOB Carolina Fortune 3956L ET son consigned by White Bros. of Topeka, Kansas. He sold to Lynn and Ann Gregory of Edna, Kansas. Lot 737 was a JBOB Carolina Fortune 2564J ET son, homozygous black and double polled, consigned by Steffensen J5 Cattle Co. of Gainesville, Mo. He sold to Bruce Peters of Zononi, Mo.

The top two Angus bulls of the day were consigned by Prairie Creek Angus of Pleasant Plains, Ill. They were both 4G Regulator sons. Lot 601 brought $2,900 and sold to Chance Koppenhaver of Oxford, Iowa. Lot 606 brought $2,400 and sold to Ervin Eicher of Sarcoxie, Missouri.

The top spring bred two year old was lot 840, a 75 percent Gelbvieh 25 percent Angus Balancer, SKF Dunn's Ms Sabrina 612S. She was consigned by Sandy Knoll Farm Gelbvieh of St. John, Kansas. She was a KCF Bennett K503 ET daughter bred to Dunn's New Level 025S. She sold to Bradley McWilliams of Asbury, Mo., for $2200.

Lot 782 and 782A were the top selling fall pair. Lot 782 was a Angus female sired by Pauls Traveler 713 and bred back to a Balancer bull. Her heifer calf at side lot 782A was a 50 percent Angus 50 percent Gelbvieh Balancer, OZZ EXT Govenor 3N daughter. They were consigned by Mulroy Ranch of Mayetta, Kansas and sold to Jeremy and Lisa Bryant of Huntsville, Ark. for $1,775.

Top Spring Pair for the day was lot 844 consigned by White Bros. of Topeka, Kansas. GDW Blk Jim's Alice 6105S, she was a Black, GDW Blk Jim daughter with a black, February, heifer calf at side by ELK CK Kipp 440S. The pair went to Garrett Sikes of Sikes Gelbvieh in Viola, Ark., for $2,100.

The top fall bred was also purchased by Garrett Sikes of Sikes Gelbvieh. Lot 794, GJHG 38S, a Red, GJHG Cool Drew daughter, bred to ELK CK Kipp 440S, consigned by White Bros. Gelbvieh of Topeka, Kansas. She sold for $1,475.

Winding up the sale were the spring open heifers. The top heifer was consigned by Flint Hills Gelbvieh of Alma, Kansas. Lot 858, RLS 311T, a DPWG Will daughter sold to Kerry Brooks of Cassville, Mo., for $1,300.
