    Where is the end?

As per title of this thread. The end is when one starts to depend too much on chemical inputs that big companies keep jacking the price up on. 10 years ago here the price of 32 0 0 got to $700 per metric ton. At that time it cost $70 to make a ton.

Baler Belt Wrapped on lower Roller

I am serious about the chain and come along. Open door so belts are slack, find a spot on belt to pull, tie off to tractor or hitch. A picture would help. Once or twice annual occurrence here.

    Recommended weaned vaccines?

We work groups of 200 to 300 in a day. Calves get split away from cows and cows go through the alley for their prebreeding MLV in am, in for lunch and calves get branded in the afternoon.

    120 bred Brafords

One man bought the first load and then as his option stated, he took the next 3 loads for the same money. These pairs calved in a 45 day window. Uniformity sells.

    120 bred Brafords

coffee is ready, have a cup

Murray, if you quit those smokes you would afford another grasser. I used to chew a can of Copenhagen a day. Quit cold turkey on July 15 2014. Copenhagen can be found lots cheaper and I have a friend who has a friend in the American Tobacco Co that gave him cases of Copenhagen to give away...

    120 bred Brafords

Exactly how to start out wrong, buy heifers with a 5 month calving window. If they can’t breed in 45 days they need their heads cut off.

    Down. And out!

Everyone wants to lift them up. We have had far more luck taking them feed and water and letting them tell us when it is time to stand. A couple took 3 weeks and a couple more never did. Lifting the ones we did sure didn’t speed up the progress.

    Down. And out!

We do what we can and they still find ways to cost us money and time. I hope you see her on her feet soon.
