    Shall we make some hay?

Good weather ahead, too bad 30 acres under 8 feet of muddy water. Dry spring, deluge when it did rain, almost final straw. no pun intended.

My neighbor put me on youtube baling hay

It made a very good case for net instead of twine, I thought I was slow.

    What is this weed

After I spray them and they start to wilt, my cattle will devour them. It is like I put salad dressing on them. I guess it softens the stickers.

    Why They Migrate

Now the billboards have a different message all from attorneys. Working days over? Call Grover. Also had a little problem with one attorney escaping disability fraud to the tune of almost a billon and going to Central America. I guess reverse migration.

    New Baler

I have a 450 utility. I bought it from a neighbor that had had it for a couple years. He realized it was time consuming and he was better off buying and grazing. It had about 300 through it. I've put about 2000 trough it in the past three years so far. The only problems I have had is with...

    Clover Question

I'm in the process of doing the same thing. I'm still about a year of being ready for clover in my pastures though. I was too late to get the buttercup under control last spring and I need lime. So I'm getting ready to spray as soon as the ground dries and a little warmer. Going to lime this...

    Tire Dry Rot ?

Talked to a guy recently who worked for a tire shop. He said when a load came in they spray them down with kerosene Especially tires that weren't going to ,move quickly. I thought that was interesting but he also seemed like he was also one of those guys who Trump should put in a think tank...

    Mahindra Tractors

Neighbor bought one pretty good size. Had a few minor issues with the loader, but was taken care of with warranty. He kept bragging it up, until the rear end broke into with a disc mower. Took about three months but was covered. He ran it through an auction and got a bid for half of its cost...

    Pasture rotation??

Rain seems to make me look like a genius. Last year in east ky the rain poured after the first cutting. Never fed a roll until November. If I had sold what I had planned I would have made it until Janruary. I'd love to stockpile everything but alot of my hay ground is spread out over this end...

    Bull Bidding Strategy ?

Neighbor had one broke to plow. Wouldn't use a tractor. Said he was going to show him there was more to do on the farm besides sex and tearing up fences and feeders

wood burning box outside of house

CO2 poisioning? That is it and I hope it works as well as advertised. It hasn't been used in about 13 months because the farmer died that lived there and it has just sat.

    hi tensile in high water

Yep, Make sure you put the wire on the side of the post that it will break the insulator and not push the post with the wire. Most of the time it will just break the peg in the insulator and not wash the post away. But when replacing the plug use something that will break the next time instead...

    Suitable breed for mountain farm?

I suggest you go to the packers and see what breeds they accept and what they pay the most for. Decide on your market and give them what they want if you can.
