    Semi Load Out Chute

After allot of thought I think I'm going to go with one like this. I'll probably build it myself since I won't need it for a good while. I like the idea of being able to load out a semi or ground load easily and that we can drag it on a trailer and move it to a different location.

    Semi Load Out Chute

I've been looking at the Arrowquip load out chutes and like their design. The ramp pivots up or down at about the 4' mark so you can load a ground load trailer or a Semi from the same spot. The thing I don’t like about them is the truck driver has to walk up the ramp to sort the cattle once they...

    Semi Load Out Chute

I've looked at the one in the link and it seems like the best overall deal. I'm debating on buying that one or building one. The cost to build one is about half of that asking price. The plans I ordered are nearly identical but use square tubing instead of pipe. The square tubing is a little...

    Semi Load Out Chute

We've been carrying our calves to a friends place to ship them for allot of years now. This seems to put allot of extra stress on them so planning on buying or building a Semi load out. I'd like one that can load a semi and a ground load. Has anyone built one? I ordered some plans and they seem...

    Pearson squeeze chute reviews needed

    Skid Steers

I've pulled thousands of trees with a skid. The track machine I have now is pretty stable but the older tire machine would sure scare you from time to time. Nothing like looking up at the sky with a good size tree in the puller. We installed a cattle gaurd last week and it got hairy a few times...

    Skid Steers

I've tipped mine forward carrying brush with a grapple before. I had the brush raised up fairly high to go through a gate and before I knew it I was against the window. Hardest part was bracing myself in the seat to get the armrest back down to get the thing operational again.

    Trans products

The 36' trailer I had weighed nearly 10k alone, it was a load byself itself. I think it would hold 17 1,100# bales. Lot of weight to pull down the FM roads. I've brought the tractor home like in the pic several times.

    Hydraulic hiccups with JD tractor

I'd be affraid of kerosene. You'd never get it out of all the cylinders.

    New side x side

Could be that any time you buy a truck and register it with farm tags you aren't supposed to pay any taxes. It'd be worth looking into. Then again I might have gotten away with something I shouldn't have.

I bought the truck set up like it is now...bale bed, feeder, front bumper, and tinted windows. The dealership is a Deweze and Ranch Hand dealer. I can't remember how our tax person wrote the truck off, but the dealer did give me separate reciepts for the chasis and the equipment.

@Brute 23 Yes. I was getting farm tags for it when the lady walked in. Guess the other ladies didn't know.

    New side x side

This got me thinking of the last new pickup we bought in 2019. We live in Tx but bought the truck in Oklahoma which can't collect Tx sales tax. When I went to the DMV to pay taxes and get it registered a lady that worked there came in from lunch and asked who bought the new feed truck, truck has...

Every couple years sounds reasonable, we've got friends that do the same. We've got a couple mules, a Ranger 1000 xp, and a Kubota with cab and air. We keep ours until they give a little trouble.

I can't remeber but thinking it's the drive belt since I bought one once. Long story and it self induced failure.

I probably missed it somewhere but, how often do y'all get new SxS? Do you always get two of the same models?

We have one of the smaller Mules like that. Our dealer only keeps 1 part in stock for them so be prepared to never need another one.

    Rotary cutter suggestions

It really depends on what you are cutting. If you'll be cutting some brush or rougher pastures I'd get another JD or a Bush Hog. Just mowing grass I'd be fine with a Land Pride or Woods. I think you'll like the flex wing, they follow the ground better than the straight deck mowers.

    Deere 120 excavator

You just really never know with these deals. The dozer we bought was stuck in high gear when we got it. Most people sdid run away fast it's a transmission issue. Ended up being a stuck switching lever. Took $1 worth of PB Blaster and 2 hours of labor to fix. I'll probably pass on this ho. It's...

    Deere 120 excavator

I bought a dozer out of Tennessee with only seeing pics and 1 video. Turned out ok but did need more work than expected. Put 1,000 hrs on it cleaning up the ranch. I really don't mind working on equipment but hate to end up with $30k in a $20k machine. We'll see how this goes.
