Part replacement prior to engine swap

If you can get them, always use an OEM thermostat. I cracked an engine head with a POS aftermarket thermostat. Your engine should heat if the thermostat is opening and closing correctly. Overheating can be a problem in other places which is not your problem. Put a piece of cardboard in front...

    Mower Issue

As stated above the new carb ought to get you going, and the other maintenance ought to keep you going a long time. If you can get pure 100% gas local it is worth the extra cost.

    Hauling 10ft wide cutter?

Each state you travel you may want to get a permit. Going 100 miles I would check with the authorities.

    Ironcraft mowers?

5th gear on some level and pretty smooth ground. It doesn't take long. I have mowed 60 acres in a day with a 7-footer. You must have some pretty rough ground.

    Ironcraft mowers?

It looks a lot like the Land Pride I have. It is not super heavy duty, but I haven't seen any that will stand up to rocks and stumps very long. A lot more moving parts on a batwing design, but it will contour to the ground better and you can raise the sides up a little in rough ground if...

    Rotary cutter suggestions

I have one like this. It works good with a 60 hp tractor and does a good job on pasture fields. https://www.tractorhouse.com/listing/for-sale/230265363/2024-land-pride-rc2512-rotary-mowers?gclid=CjwKCAiA3JCvBhA8EiwA4kujZgjzPvhmwI3YbOAx8gWYNJB19IVNF7HDlPFhScux_hLKS1gvG-SPiRoCEUsQAvD_BwE

Part replacement prior to engine swap

That garage almost looks like Hubert Gordons garage just east of you down 131 past the old Flat Gap school/Fire department on the right heading west. My wife grew up on that road and knows everybody well around there. If not them they sure could be some good help as Tony is a heck of a mechanic.

    Bale Spears

I have a couple my dad made that way. With my Vermeer balers the bales as so thigh they want go in. You can use them on the 5x5 bales kind of, but you just push the 5x4 bales trying to get them in. Even the tapered rods all the way out can be a pita to use. I have used pallet forks on some...

    A/T tires

A lot of people like Yokohama's, but if you want top of the line get Michelins. Also check out Bridgestone's.

    Grapples??

A neighbor had one like this who recently passed with pancreatic cancer and said he really like it, so I got one like it. I have not used it much, but it beats doing it by hand. If you get it in the jaws, it will move it. I have had it maybe 4 years and the last one I seen sell at auction...

    Flat faced couplers

I have replaced the O ring on the tractors. I tried some that came in a kit of many sizes and after trying a couple I found the right ones. If you can find the right one probably cost a dollar. Take the old one to a parts store and see if they can size it. I hate external lubrication.

    Baler belts

That is what I have. When putting the Rivets in it is best to use a punch to make sure they are in good and flared out on the back. You need to skive the belts, so the lace fits flat.

    Baler belts

With 7500 bales I would take the belts out and cut to the same length and put new ends on. Also replace the pickup teeth needed. I bought the flexco alligator tool and replace the ends myself with alligator laces. That was several thousand bales ago and no problem with belts since, but the...

    Bale Spears

I have ordered a couple online before and they come to your door in just a few days. I bought a 3-point ball hitch to pull the goose necks around behind the tractor and have had many loads on a 25' trailer (14 5x5 bales loaded) and not torn it up yet...

No oil change for 10 years and 170 hours

From the pictures it looks like a M7040, hydraulic reverser and also has the cast heavy wheels behind. I would take it over a brand new 2024. I hope you get it as it looks like a cream puff. https://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/001/8/4/1847-kubota-m7040.html

No oil change for 10 years and 170 hours

The egr is regen which has the sensors, egr valve, computer board, particulate filter, etc. If 70 hp or under DEF is usually not required which is a lot easier to maintain.
