I ran the cultipacker over the field before seeding but my neighbour thought using the cultipacker again after seeding down with small seed such as Timothy/Alfalfa may get it too deep. What are your thoughts as I don't have a flat roller easily available at the moment. Thanks,

Planting a Alfalfa/Grass mix with Alfalfa being 10lbs/acre as the first cut will be used for horses and don't want to much alfalfa. Would you recommend a cover crop to go with it (and if so what would be best) or should I just plant the Alfalfa/Grass mix only? I am in southern Ontario, Canada...
