    KY banning hunting of hogs

From 2019, in Chambers County Tx (Just East of Houston/Baytown) A woman was attacked and killed by a group of feral hogs Sunday morning outside the southeastern Texas home where she worked as a caretaker, authorities said. Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne said in a press conference...

    KY banning hunting of hogs

I hit one Christmas morning 2016 going about 55 mph in my wife's Dodge which is mostly 'plastic' on the front end. It wasn't too bad. Impact was just below left headlight. Car was still drivable but we had to go back home and get my truck because we were on our way to my niece's home about 50...

    KY banning hunting of hogs

One spayed sow/500 acres in East Texas wouldn't make a tiny tiny dent in the feral hog population. I have eaten feral pork. It was not dry and tough. Sounds like someone overcooked it.

    KY banning hunting of hogs

Back in East Texas, I've seen many dozens out in daylight. Early morning after sunrise and just before sunset mostly but I have disturbed more than one sounder tearing up old burn pile areas where they were rooting for big grubs in leftover rotting wood..

    That time of year

To me, it tastes only like whatever it was seasoned with and breaded with. Not to mention all those rib bones to deal with and really very little meat. .

    Big one got away 😩

Why is always that one and why is it no one ever posts, talks or complains about 'the little one got away"? (Had to edit. I can't believe I typed and spelled that poorly)

    Thermal/night vision?

I had one similar to that one, on my sks, but without the picatinny rail adapter of course. Worked good for shooting beaver but was never happy with the velcro remote switch. Had a few different ones and same problem with all of them. The bottom velcro patch always came unstuck in high humidity.

    Warmer days = bass biting

That's what I was thinking!! 105 on both sides of Conroe used to be a nice road to travel but the traffic and red lights have gotten terrible in the last 10-15 years. When I lived out in Tom Green County (San Angelo) I would go down thru Brady & Llano thru BeeCave...

Yep, whole kernel corn for the stocked trout waters. Texas wildlife used to stock the North Concho where it ran thru San Angelo and encouraged everyone to catch their limit before hot weather set in and corn was the go to bait. I went down once and did it. LOTS of parents with their young kids...

Nice fish and the first ones each year when it starts to warm a little are the best fun IMO. Those are light colored compared to the ones I used to catch in my fam pond that had a lot of bottom grassy cover, but the ones in my brother-in-law's pond a few miles away with virtually no grassbed...
