    Explain why sire/daughter is genetically different than dam/son please? Don’t both combinations have the same shot of 50/50 genetic influence? Or are you saying the sire/daughter breedings potentially affect more total animals, therefore more chances for strange happenings?

    We had solid blue skies and could hear the Sandhill cranes flying overhead. One of my favorite parts of spring-trying to see those big old birds in a clear blue sky-usually I see them once they are well past me. The white on their wings finally shows up.

    I actually took out a flock of ducks that were walking in the road-hauling a horse, came around the corner and there were the ducks. It was them or me-they lost. I looked back and saw duck feathers and rolling ducks. Felt bad. Chickens cross roads, not ducks…
