AICA ANNOUNCES NATIONAL SHOW & SALE RESULTS

Louisville, Ky. �� The 29th National Sale kicked off the Charolais events at the National American International Livestock Exposition on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007. What a sale it was with 26 buyers from 16 states making seedstock selections. The sale grossed $218,950 to average $10,564 on 20 3/8 lots. The high -selling lot, from Polzin Zehnder Cattle, Chris Polzin, Darwin Minn. & Chad Zehnder, Stanchfield, Minn., sold to Baney Charolais, Larry Baney, Mt. Grove, Mo. for $16,750 (1/8 interest, spring/summer possession). WDZ Firemaker 6062 P ET is a 4-8-06 son out of M6 Grid Maker 104 PET.

The 39th National Show on Monday, Nov. 12, saw a record crowd at ring-side to view the entries vying for the national titles. When Judge Randy Daniel, Colbert, Ga. made his final decisions of the 160 entries, South Dakota junior member, Cally Thomas found her Junior Champion Female, TR Ms Smokette 6758S ET, in the winners circle. Reserve Champion Female, HC Miss Jewel 20S Pld, was shown by Nick Curtis, Mexico, Mo. Indiana's Andrew Doub and Cody Cattle Co. of Kansas were the proud owners of Grand Champion Bull, D&D Inxs. Kassi Bauman, Cheyenne, Wyo. and Greg Kroupa, White Lake, S.D. followed with KASS KoJack S45, Reserve Grand Champion Bull.

The NAILE Junior Charolais Show was held on Nov. 10 and judged by Jake Franke, College Station, Texas. Grand Champion Female was TR Ms Icebucket 6691S, shown by Jordan Mack, Watertown, S.D. Reserve Grand Champion Female, DSUL Lexie 62S was shown by Luke Elder, Dunlap, Iowa. Emily Griffiths, Kendallville, Ind. exhibited 3G String of Pearls 651S as the Grand Champion Bred & Owned Female.
