SIOUX FALLS HOSTS HEARTLAND REGIONAL JUNIOR LIMOUSIN SHOW

The Heartland Regional Junior Limousin Show was July 12 in Sioux Falls, S.D. Exhibitors brought 156 head from Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Kyle Rozeboom, Saint Paul, Minn., evaluated their 23 steers, 17 owned and bred-and-owned Lim-Flex� females, 10 bred-and-owned Limousin bulls, 23 bred-and-owned Limousin females, and 106 owned Limousin females.

Aaron Linhart, Leon, Iowa, led the grand champion owned Limousin female. MAGS Sally Joe is a Sept. 2, 2006, daughter of KRVN Naskar 013N and was the Division 5 champion.

ROMN Tomorrow's Dream 26T was the reserve grand champion owned Limousin female for Cody Sweeter, Worthing, S.D. The April 10, 2007, daughter of RGMA Night Rider 73N was the Division 3 champion.

Jordan Straight, Logan, Iowa, led Suki to grand champion honors in the bred-and-owned Limousin female show. She is a Nov. 2, 2006, daughter of KRVN Naskar 013N.

Alissa Johnson, Ashton, Iowa, had the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned Limousin female in LISS Tiana 719T � an April 19, 2007, daughter of COLE First Down 46D.

Austen Etherton, Dawson, Ill., and William Frank, Mechanicsburg, Ill., earned grand champion honors in the bred-and-owned bull show. EF Top Secret 327T is a Feb. 21, 2007, son of GPFF Blaque Rulon.

The reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull was SL Tradewind. Straight owns the July 10, 2007, son of JKSM President 813P.

Corinne Harrison, Minier, Ill., led the grand champion owned Lim-Flex female. EXLR Scotch Cap 191S is an Oct. 2, 2006, daughter of LESF Asphalt 9N out of EXLR Scotch Cap 1005N.

MAGS Topless was reserve grand champion owned Lim-Flex female for Clay Schilling, Edson, Kan. She is a Jan. 1, 2007, daughter of G A R Integrity out of MAGS Marquee.

Among the Lim-Flex females, TLC Tinkerbell was the grand champion bred-and-owned animal. Megan Ahrendsen, Sioux Rapids, Iowa, owns the Feb. 12, 2007, daughter of BOHI Roberto 88R out of TLC Peekaboo 41P.

Ahrendsen also had the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned Lim-Flex female. TLC Twilight 37T is an April 15, 2007, daughter of BOHI Roberto 88R out of TLC Rosie 1R.

Scott Edwards, Corder, Mo., was the winner in the steer show's Prospect Division with SEEE Trend Setter � an 862-pound, halfblood son of SEEE Fancy 017P. The Prospect Division reserve champion was CJSL7186T � the 656-pound, purebred son of MAGS Radcliff that Johnson showed.

In the Progress Division, the champion steer was AMJO Thriller � the 1,270-pound, seven-eighths son of Carrousels Nasdaq from Amanda Lindsey, Spirit Lake, Iowa. Morgan Ratliff, Westphalia, Kan., had the reserve champion in TUBB Hannibal 437T � a 1,048-pound, halfblood son of TUBB Judo 437P.

Linhart had the best pair of females.

In the showmanship contests, Paige Coslor, Hastings, Neb., worked her way to the top of the Junior Division. Travis Wulf, Morris, Minn., claimed highest honors in the Intermediate Division. Straight won the title of champion senior showman.
