MAJOR LEAGUE RODEO RETURNS TO MONTGOMERY MARCH 5-7

Alabama's only major league sporting event, the Southeastern Livestock Exposition Rodeo, is set to come to Montgomery for its 52nd consecutive year. This year's rodeo is set for March 5-7 at the Garrett Coliseum.

Not only will the annual SLE Week feature some of the world's most accomplished cowboys and cowgirls vying for $60,000 in prize money during 4 PRCA rodeo performances, but the week's events will also include more than 400 young people from across Alabama competing in the Alabama Junior Livestock Expo, a highlight for youth involved in 4-H and FFA events.

This year's rodeo will again feature the sport's best broncs and bulls thanks to now 5-time PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year Stace Smith. As well, crowds will be amazed by the high flying performance of PRCA Act of the Year The Wild Child.

The SLE is a non-profit organization working to promote the state's livestock industry and helping provide leadership opportunities for our youth. The SLE has a long history of helping support local charities such as The Children's Hospital and providing complimentary tickets to under privileged children and adults. One dollar from the purchase of Friday night's Tough Enough to Wear Pink' performance adult ticket will be donated to The Joy of Life Foundation to support breast cancer work.

Tickets are available online at Ticketmaster.com or by dialing 1-888-2RODEO2. Fans can also purchase tickets in person at the Garrett Coliseum or in downtown Montgomery at the Alabama Cattlemen's Association office.
