SENEPOL BULL TEST SALE TO BE HELD APRIL 21, 2012 IN BLADENBORO, NC

At the last board of directors meeting, SCBA agreed to sponsor a Senepol young virgin bull test. This bull test is being held on the HJ White Farm, Bladenboro, N.C. and managed by Jerry White. SCBA is testing young bulls for future herd sires. Bulls are grouped from all breeders under the same environment, feed and management. We are testing for weight gain, frame score, scrotal and pelvic measurement, docility and body condition scores, and ultrasound for marbling, ribeye size and fat. After 112 days on full feed ration that 70 percent TDN and 12 percent protein, bulls will be in condition to express their genetic make‐up. Breeders can be confident that they can select bulls from this test that would take your breeding program in the direction you desire.

Bulls born between Nov 15, 2010 and April 15, 2011 were delivered mid‐November 2011. After a two week adjustment period, bulls were weighed and tested every 28 days for 112 days. Two weeks after the 112 day period will be used for health test, test results, sales, field day and bull pick up. Total time at HJ White Farms is 140 days.

Bulls came from HJ White Farm, Power Line Farms, King Farms/King Cattle, Sacramento Farms, Parker's Senepol, Oak Lane Ranch and Little Farm.
