thinking of buying a 2012 6.7. any know problems . i will pull a trailer weekly, but mileage 40,000 per year.

I wouldn't want an early one. 15 and up are supposed to be the best.

My brother in law has a ‘12 or ‘14 has probably 160k on it with no problems. Lots of city driving and idling on it.

I would read many hours here https://www.thedieselstop.com/forums/
before I bought it. Some people can tear up an anvil and some will complain about anything, so if you read about a lot of the same problems then it might be a problem. Remember most people only post to complain so the many thousands out there trouble free you probably want read about. Also remember the other brands have their problems also.

Seems to me the '12 models had a variable pitch turbo that gave a lot of grief, later models went to a constant pitch and solved the problem. But I stand to be corrected.
