I don't know... but using pig parts just doesn't seem 'right' to me.
Both my brother and a friend were faced with choosing in the last 10-15 years. Both chose mechanical.
The friend died last week at age 74 my brother is still going strong.

Tho I may be biased as I do already have some aftermarket hardware in my heart (no moving parts) I'd have to agree with you on choosing the mechanical thing regardless... No pig parts for me.
