Professional Handler

Hi all I'm new to the cattle show world. I am trying to find a professional handler on the east coast, mid Atlantic area. Does anyone have advice on where to search?

By handler, do you mean a fitter (someone to clip and get calves ready for show), or a hand to work on your place feeding, grooming and the like?

Thank you so much for your response! I am looking for someone that will take them to the show, do the fitting and show them.

I do want to do this myself but won't have time due to my work and very large projects over the next two years.

I used a Professional Fitter for my show cattle for several years due to my work schedule. It works out nice. You can still learn to show them yourself and participate with the prep work as you can fit it in, but not have to be there with the cattle round the clock. A good way to learn and get your feet wet!

Get a hold of your local AG university and talk to the Livestock judging coach. They surely will have a student or recent grad that would want a job like that.
