Rice bran worth feeding

Post by DCA farm » Thu Oct 18, 2018 7:02 pm

Hello
I'm yalls option is rice bran worth feeding I can buy it $6 a sack wondering if it be worth mixing in with my 16% pellet i feed ($9a sack).
I know there will be a protein% cut but I mainly feed to keep the cows gentle more than to put gain on. Cows are on good grass and will have good hay and winter pasture.

If you need energy, rice bran can be a good feed supplement. I figure rice bran at 12% CP, 12% fate and 12% fiber.

Very good energy and very digestible. If it were me I'd probably feed the bran and forget about the 16% pellet. A lot of horse owners feed it, it's just sometimes a little hard to get.
A dung beetle walks into a bar, looks around and says "Is this stool taken"????
