Priced some sunflower seed to add to the food plot mix and they were high priced. Any issue with just planting bird food oil seed sunflowers ?
I realize they are not treated, but I can up the rate a little. Could even plant a millet based bird seed mix with sunflowers in it...

Done it a couple times, got a stand both times, one the seed came from Walmart.
If I was gonna do a bunch, it goes without saying to test it.

I’ve planted black oil sunflower bird seed a couple times and had good luck with it.
