Friday's question:
Jets smother the Lions 48-17.A week later, Jets lose to the Browns, Mayfield and a possum.
What does that say about the Lions,........?

It says Detroit stinks whenever Stafford throws 3 interceptions more than TDS.
1 td 4 ints = 48-17

On the road at SF 49ers 0 ints = 30-27 loss, but a respectable outing
Detroit is 1-17 when underdog by 7 or more pts in the last 6 seasons.

Sunday Night at home vs New England... (28-23 ? loss) but a fair chance of a backdoor win on last drive td throw 30-28
Patriots will be out for blood after losing at Jacksonville and it has been forever since Brady has lost 2 games in a row.

I look for Patriots to jump out to a quick 14-6 lead trading tds to field goals, but it might cause them to take their
foot off the pedal.

Also, they have a new head coach. This is his first season away from NE. Do they have any targets for Stafford? What's their O-Line like? I don't really know much about them except they have not done well this year.

Detroit's secondary sucks, that's why I think Patriots won't have any field goals and Brady at least 3 tds passing.
Lions LBs can't cover Gronk, so he might have 2 of them.

Lions wr Kenny Golladay has developed into a threat and they have Golden Tate.
qb Stafford hasn't hit his stride yet under new coach, but he has too good of an arm not to make some noise.
Maybe now in 3rd game and at home he'll get going. O-line and run game are well below average, so they can't
control the clock. Rookie rb Kerryon Johnson is developing slowly, he should figure it out with more reps by the
2nd half of the season. By the way New England's rookie rb Sony Michel as a 1st round pick has also failed to impress
so far.

6 minutes left in the 1st half
Buffalo 27
VIKINGS 0

A TRAP GAME... grrrrr.... at Green Bay last Sunday and going to play at RAMS Thursday, a classic example of forgetting
about having to prepare to play because it's a bad team it's at home TRAP..... and I never saw it coming. grrrrrr
oh well, that's why they make 'em play the games.

4th quarter and still 27-0 :cry2:

Green Bay 3
Washington 21
in the 2nd quarter

Looks like both the Packers and Vikings spent so much time complaining about last week's tie, they forgot they had
another game to get ready for this week!

Pat Mahomes reminds me of Fran Tarkenton, but with a better arm.

before the game I'd be inclined to agree with everything you said there but in this game it was exactly opposite.

Probably back to the regular showing for the lions next week

Looked like the Lions hc Matt Patricia (former dc for the Patriots) had this game circled on his calendar from the day
he was hired. Kerryon Johnson became first Lions rb to rush for 100+ yards since 2013. Rookie left guard/center Frank Ragnow is a Mn boy, went to high school 25 miles from me, he did great. Sort of wished he would have fallen to the Vikings, but happy he didn't as he got an extra million dollars or 2 by being Detroit's 1st round pick.

yeah I'd say Patricia was working on this game for a long time.
