Close up just means the lens is physically close to the subject of the photo. Zoomed images are a form of closeup, but aren't really a 'closeup' as the lens is still quite distant from the subject.
Macro can be a closeup for sure (and usually is) but magnification is always involved in macro photography while magnification is not necessary in closeup shots.
It ain't easy being a used cow salesman.
