Who has a cool $3,500? AI bred, top numbers. I think he's a little under valued.

Well, he's got good EPD's, I think he'd be good for Brookhill.

They started in business in 2017 and have been focusing ever since at improving the genetics or their herd. What last year's calf crop? I sure wouldn't have put that in my advertisement. They need to learn how to take better pictures. He might turn out to be a pretty good bull. A bit over priced right now. And next Tuesday I can take a short drive to a sale where I can buy bulls with every bit as good genetics (probably better), from a reputation second generation breeder, with all kinds of guarantee, and select from several hundred bulls for about the same money.

Just saw a Craigslist ad for 4 Black Angus bull "prospects". Clicked on the pics and they are calves. I mean CALVES. Freshly weaned, 450-500# and look thin as a board. And they are priced at $1050/hd. I want to contact him and say, please tell me if you sell them, cause if he does, I'm gonna change my business to selling bull calves!

See lots of bulls sold that way in my area. Guys feel they are getting a deal buying a unproven bull calf for $7-800 vs giving $2000 for a 15 month old that’s passed a BSE.

I guess that explains why they need to make Kentucky cattle great again. :hide:

Or they get an average steer out of the deal. Either way at over $1000 for a weaned calf you would have at least $7-800 in him by the time he's 2. Just don't see the sense.
