Paid Her Way

Post by tdh10 » Wed Dec 12, 2018 1:30 am

I've recently lost some of my rent pasture so I needed to cut back. I took a few to the auction barn last Saturday, and I told them to palpate the cows. One of them was a Brangus cow I bought in a group of 5 short bred 2-year-olds in the fall of 2008 for $875.00 each. She's raised 8 calves for me, and she sold as a 7-month bred Short and Solid for $860.00.

She was only 12. Brangus usually are productive until their 20’s.
