This one of the most ridiculously difficult methods of posting pics I have ever seen. I cannot make my files small enough (1KB) to upload any at all. I've never been on any message board EVER that make you jump through so many hoops.

SL, I believe the 1 kb requirement is a temporary glitch. Normally files have to be under 2 Mb.
I have found this very easy - until a few weeks ago. Must be just me, because I see others have managed to upload images since then.

The hardest thing I've tried to do is follow your instructions. Are you sure there aren't steps left out? It says the upload was successful yet there are NO PICTURES. How in the world can a normal picture be too large? I would like to post a few pictures but I must be the dumbest person in the world if this is Easy as 1-2-3-4-5

Picture album hasn't worked here for most of 2009....Hasn't worked on Ranchers for several months.... All of the instructions to post to either of these sites is obsolete (at the moment and maybe for ever, have to ask someone else about that). Photobucket.com, among others, has been recommended by many. Upload your photos to one of those sites then use the Img button to insert the picture location here.
Might be a good idea for one of the moderators to go thru this thread and delete instructions that are no longer relevant. Maybe post up some up-to-date information.

Macon or somebody, PLEASE update the photo posting instructions?
I haven't been able to upload ANY pics to Ranchers at all, says I have reached my quota... which is pretty funny considering I deleted everything!
anyway... please post a new topic with the EZ instructions for using photobucket? or direct me to the proper topic....
Thanks in advance!

Not sure what the problem is. You have 5 pictures still there from Sept 2009. They are a little over 500Kb each. Your quota should allow you to upload 2,000 pictures at that size.
As for photobucket just search for photobucket. There have been numerous posts about using it.

With the free account you get 1 MB of storage space. If you upgrade to pro and "pay" for an account you can get as much as you want. I dont pay. If you wanted another free account somewhere else for more "free" hosting Villagephoto is another good host for free.
