Price is pretty much in line with a good angus or Hereford bull less than a good beefmaster or Gelbveigh but more than a good Char or Gert

Question for the experts on this topic:
Is it the location, hide color, breed, or the local associations that control the "perception / price" of cattle at the sale barns / markets? Does it affect the local farmer or the big buyer more?

I'll take a stab at this one.
Location, hide color have more to do with the "perception/price".
Local farmer is more affected by the price than the big buyer.

Agreed with abovesaid. Black cattle dominate the market/sale barn in most areas, regardless of what breed the black cattle is.
