Just picked up another 100 acres, everything is newly sowed out, except 25 which was to be planted today. Problem was it was worked, but rocks hadn't been picked yet and I wasn't told until late afternoon. So I worked til dark last night and another few hours this morning. Picked 10 buckets by myself in just over 6 hours. Seeder is running now and I'll have 100 more acres of good grass to deal with next summer.

These fields have been having rocks picked off them for a few hundred years now and they still come up.

Ain't nothing grows faster then rocks!

I've told my boss we need to figure out how to make money off rocks and woodchucks because that's what we grow best!

Yup, I got rocks too.. I picked about 2 dozen like this out of an acre!.. plus a couple dump truck loads of smaller ones...

I do make money off them.
Sometimes I hate rocks. But anybody could do this if it wasn't for the rocks.

I broke out in a sweat and started cussing just looking at that pic.

We are essentially nothing but rock, primarily limestone. There even used to be a rock quarry by the watershed.
This is what was dug up drilling one of the wells

After the oil company buried the lines (and did a pizz poor job of it!)

Just had a new fence so we can completely block access to the watershed - and paid a premium, drilling through all the rock.

But might as well use them as yard art

Yeah, if you notice those are 18" pads while those units usually had 12" pads.. rough ground is hard on them.. I'm looking for some new pads for it but hey, it still works alright. I do really need to replace the rock guards on one side though, they're totally bagged out.

After seeing all these rock pictures I suddenly don't feel nearly so bad about my rocks. :)

Me either. I thought we had rocks. We have alot of ledge, that runs across and through the fields and it seems to "grow" and stick up out of the dirt in new places every year. But the "moveable rocks" are nothin like some of what y'all have.
