    My new Tub..

I like the load out sweep idea, very nice. The steel prices are terrible thus this a 100% scrounge up what I can find show. One little piece at at time.

    My new Tub..

I've thought about sheathing a portion kind of like you do for deer. Most of my girls are stupid gentle but every once in a while I get a crazy. The yearlings are my biggest concern, they always seem to be full of piss and vinegar...LOL

    My new Tub..

After years of working with poorly designed pens, we're on our way to a nice SAFE set of pens. The tub frame is almost finished in this photo. Yes it is 8' tall. I have seen yearling 5-6 weight calves jump a 6' fence. Then last year my last crazy tried to clear our 6' pens and almost made...

    Feedlot fencing

Holding 100 5 weight calves could be a circus. I've seen calves that size clear a 6' plank fence and destroy wire fencing. I'm currently building a new set of work pens and have decided to go nuts and build 8' tall. I'm using pipe posts and rails for the crowding areas and guard rail for the...

    Skull ID?

1/2 mile from you is about 9 miles from me. I saw a game camera picture of a mountain lion not far from Lilly Yeager Loop. I've always suspected we had a few around, haven't seen one personally though. There's a lot of national forest in this county......

    Quality feed and finishing?

They're 700+ pounds now, Beefmasters get big quick. I appreciate the advice on pre-ration, and 90 days. First time I've done this as we have always sold breed stock or to the barn. Looks like I need to plan further ahead.

    Quality feed and finishing?

Great thread and excellent information. I've recently been asked to raise a couple of our Beefmaster steers for slaughter for a few friends that want halves. Our herd is completely grass fed except when I want to catch them, we use cubes for that. Since we only grass feed our herd and our...

I have a patented invention for pulling T-posts. May I introduce safeTpuller here?

We've got three soil types on our place, gumbo (wiggle wiggle sometimes works), sand and lots of it, and iron ore clay mix. The iron ore clay mix bites so hard some posts have to be dug up to remove. My little mini ex can lift 6600 pounds at the blade and I had one post the other day in iron...

Good evening Greybeard, good to hear from you. Still up here in the woods, good to be back on the forum. yeah San Jacinto county appraisal district leaves a bit to be desired. Kind of like our road maintenance........ I appreciate your thoughts on the tool,. I built this thing out...

I have a patented invention for pulling T-posts. May I introduce safeTpuller here?

Thank you Liberty Garden, I appreciate your kind words. I am planning an upgrade to the design that will allow the "safe" use of a high lift jack. The current version is not designed for a high lift jack thus I can't recommend that practice yet. I'll let everyone know when I have the new...

Thank you Bird Dog, that's my girls. We run a small herd just up the road from Greybeard.

I have a patented invention for pulling T-posts. May I introduce safeTpuller here?

Thank you for adding the video, didn't know if that was permitted. The tool is specifically designed for crew use. I also used chains for years, and you're right, hooked correctly they bite well. Unfortunately, in my industry (pipeline construction) hand and back injuries occur from doing...

I have a patented invention for pulling T-posts. May I introduce safeTpuller here?

Good morning, I wanted to take a moment and introduce my patented and trademarked device for pulling T-posts. It's called safeTpuller and is specifically designed to be used with lifting equipment (front end loaders, skid steers, track hoes, etc). safeTpuller is overbuilt for years of hard...
