Only seen one. It was a little dink and isnt growing well. Not my calf and you cant judge a bull off of one calf but I am personally not interested in anything with a 0 or negative birth weight myself. I had similar experience with Hooks Beacon.

Increasing weights and marbling are the goals. I should have left the part about the females out of the original question I suppose.

If you had to pick 1 bull to increase hanging weights and marbling who would it be. Looking to breed a commercial herd for a guy that is primarily selling freezer beef. May retain a few heifers out of the better cows but all of the steers and most heifers will be fed out and sold on the rail.

Only had 2 last year. Both went to sale barn as culls. Too extreme low birthweight and didnt grow well here. One of those cows has a Cowboy Cut calf this year that is much nicer than her Beacon calf. I personally am trying to stay away from anything with a negative bw number.
