    Hay feeder mess?

Unroll them in the heavy feeding season, once the grass starts growing good (like now) I switch over to rings for the last few bales of the year, and move them with every bale.

Which big gun would you want?

Guy I got mine from (or, more accurately, from his wife after he passed) had handloaded a bunch of stuff for it, it's all still within spec but is just basically painful.

Which big gun would you want?

I have my doubts.. it's still a pistol cartridge, effectively, just because it says ".500" doesn't mean it's got any oomph to it.. There's a WHOLE lot of rifle cartridges that have significantly more energy than that thing.. The .500 S&W it was modified from has muzzle energy very similar to...

    paintball marking gun

I’ve got a paintball gun and a vetgun, the vetgun is WAYYYY less velocity. they just kinda flinch and give me a pissed off look. paintballs HURT. i’ve never shot them with one, but i can imagine it being detrimental to behavior..

    Sale barn to craigslist

Money laundering? Buy an animal with full paperwork as a business expense, then sell it for unrecorded cash on the next day.

    Just about sprayer time

I’ve got one of the fimco boomless UTV sprayers, i use it a LOT during the season… about 10 years old, it’s been a good unit.

Would you use a classified section?

Yes, mainly used equipmemt; something “non-perishable”.. I’m kind of limited to buying livestock on my terms as far as time and distance, not “if i see a deal halfway across the country”..

    Electric Gate Wire?

That's what we've been using for years: there's been once or twice that it "coiled up" when we "opened" the gate, and ended up with a kink in the wire as a result. No big deal, but sooner or later it'll break right there at that kink: we've probably changed the wire out three times over ten...

    Mouse trap

A board with some peanut butter smeared on it, a flashlight, a pellet gun, and a six pack. Don't get any more fun than that.

    Rust Penetration

Naval Jelly is a little safer to use than just a bottle of acid, if you're scared of spraying that stuff: it'll take a lot longer, but there's not any splash..: Ospho really isn't going to work against thick rust: it is a lot better suited to just converting a surface rust into that hard...

    Termites

I've heard that fire ants will keep termites down: if you've been working on keeping them out, you may be helping out the termites.. Send me your address and I'll box up a few million for you.

    Back problems.

A couple of things I've discovered over the years of fighting this: if you're laying on your side when you're sleeping, grab one of those fifty pillows your wife keeps on the bed and stick it between your legs: apparently (according to a physical therapist I dealt with some years back) it keeps...

How to get rid of Algae in cows water

A few months back I was wandering through a tractor supply and they had a little burlap bag full of straw, sold to do just that. You're supposed to just throw the whole bag in there and let it sit. I figured it was worth four bucks to try it, and it really did keep things cleaner: not...

    Cow abandoned calf

Keep an eye on her in the yard: we had one like that a few years ago, before it was over with she was eating pretty much anything she could get her mouth on: plastic sheeting, feed sacks, etc.: she'd find a new way into the shop every chance she got, even chewed on my pickup bumper. I found...

    No Relief in Sight

I got about an inch and a quarter, it sure greened things up: I know it just bought us a little time, but something's better than nothing... Even after the dry weather we've had today and yesterday, you can still see a little moisture in the ground if you kick it a little.. It's been a long...
